• The Black Throat Monitor is a heavy bodied species of monitor that is easy to tame and makes for a fabulous pet lizard! They are semi-arboreal but tend to climb much less as they age from juveniles into adults. These high-spirited guys make for a stunning display animal and are one of the most rare and coveted monitors on the planet. These guys require large heavy duty enclosures and a good amount of space to climb and bask. They can grow to be almost 60 pounds and are best suited for advanced reptile collectors.
