Blue Tail Monitor Babies (Varanus doreanus)

Categories: ,
  • We have beautiful Blue Tail Monitor Babies for sale at American Reptile Distributors!
  • The Blue Tail Monitor is a very rare species that is drop dead gorgeous and quite the show stopper. These guys need a hot and humid environment and are known to be opportunistic hunters that will eat just about anything you put in front of them. These monitors are close relatives to the Peach Throated Monitor and the Mangrove Monitor. These guys are semi-arboreal as juveniles but tend to move to the ground as they become adults. Due to their anxious personality, they should be supplied with a few hiding spots within their enclosure to feel at ease.
  • Species: Varanus doreanus
  • Origin: Captive Hatched
  • Size:  Approximately 12-14 inches. Adults reaching up to 4 feet
  • Natural Range: New Guinea. Indonesia
